ORGANIZATION PROFILE
Mobile Theatre Team (MTT) is a non- political non-profit making, formed to achieve sustainable development and behaviour changes in local communities while employing elements of drama and theatre to address various issues during emergency, recovery and developments in South Sudan.
The organisation was founded in 2007 when the founders were touched and compelled by need of the affected returnees and IDPs of the post war conflict. Our activities are geared towards reducing the suffering of most vulnerable groups such as children, elderly, disabled persons and women through implementing programmes and projects that help the affected communities to recover from conflict and war and improve their lives. We work alongside partners/donor organizations including UNICEF, Save the Children, UNMASS, NMAA, to design, respond and implement development programs and deliver essential social services to people in need.
MTT is legally registered with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) with REG No: 200 in the Republic of South Sudan. Our coordination Office is located off Kololo road, down American embassy Juba, in South Sudan. Other regional offices are within Central Equatoria Jonglei, and Upper Nile States.
VISION
MTT has a vision of communities that are holistically (social, economic and democratic governance) empowered to rise above poverty, complacency and despair in a collective effort to achieve genuine development that is sustainable, benefiting not only the present generation but also the future generations. We aspire for a society where people lead dignified lives.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be engaged, contribute, empower and raise the quality of life of the rural communities by strengthening grassroots initiatives within the available geographical and socio-economic environment as well as expanding the democratic space through civic education using the local tools. Often this is achieved through drama and local art.

Neutrality – As a humanitarian, relief and development organization we believe that actors must not take sides in hostilities or engage in controversies of political, racial, religious or ideological nature.
